Dead and Lost (L.A. Paranormal, #4) by Lou Harper avg rating — ratings — published — 3 editions. · At a little over pages, Dead in L.A. contains two novellas about Jon and Leander’s adventures, with each having its own mystery to solve. Its episodic nature reminds me of a fun mystery TV show, but the development that builds up over the two novellas adds in extra depth. Jon is very curm/5. · Lou Harper. Ah damn an author I look at and say, wish I could write like bltadwin.ru does a fantastic balance between sweet and savoury. Great characters that have a dash of unexpected and developing relationships that bind together in ways the reader doesn't even realize until all of a sudden, you're bltadwin.ru in L.A. is a delightful read of two "shorts" starring the same character.
Since Jon has perfected taciturnity into an art form it'll take all of Leander's patience and tenacity to make him open up. When Leander and Jon start digging into the old murder case the mystery grows thicker at every turn. Leander's knack for finding lost things and buried secrets lead them into the hills above a posh LA suburb. I could not wait to get back in Lou Harper's world! I missed the writing, the humor, the story line, and, in this case, I really missed Jon and Andy. I fell so hard for them, particularly Andy, in 'Dead in L.A.' that I was just squirming to get to this next installment. Dead in L.A. by Lou Harper I enjoy Lou Harper's writing style in general, and this was an interesting deviation from the M/M norm in that it was written in first-person POV. I know a lot of readers don't like that, but I've never had a problem with it, especially when the protagonist's voice is clear and well defined, as Jon's is here.

Dead In L.A. by Lou Harper M/M Paranormal Romance December 7, Self-Published Reviewed by Helyce Jon is still recovering following a tragic accident that left him quite a bit out of sorts and unable to go back to his previous work in construction. Unlike the previous book, Dead in L.A., Dead in the Desert doesn't have episodic mystery. Instead, all chapters are a continuous story, combining romance and a dash of mystery. If I can categorize this book for my own purpose, I will call it a comfort mystery romance.
